Galloway Landscapes
Poems by William Neill
Woodcuts by Stan Dobbin
Previous Parrot Press 1997
Galloway Landscapes continues the interest this
Press has in producing illustrated poetry books. William Neill has
lived in Galloway for much of his life while Stan Dobbin and his wife,
who come from Galloway, still own a house on the Galloway Coast. Here
a poet and a wood cutter convey their knowledge and feelings for an
area they strongly relate to.
The poems are set in 14pt Palatino Bold, the sharp character and weight of the
letters giving a balence to the woodcuts. Printed on 130gsm Hahnemühle Bütten
mould-made paper, page size 6.75 x 9.75 inches, 48pp, printed cover and endpapers.
Printed by offset litho by Charles Smith at the Didcot press and bound by the
Fine Bindery.
116 copies, signed by poet and artist.
36 copies, part hand-coloured under the artist`s supervision, in a plain slipcase.
All editions are out of print.
